I am a Native British English Teacher who has been involved In Teaching English to non-natives for 4 years and more.
I am a BSc Degree Holder in Computer Science/Business Management graduated with Education & Teaching Credits from The University of Manchester (Manchester, England, United Kingdom). I have also achieved TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certification from the United Kingdom).
My working experience includes Teaching in International English Academies and Universities all over Asia and other countries. I have taught and able to teach General English, ESL, Business English, Business Presentations, IELTS preparation, Job Interview Practice and Preparation, Graduate School Entrance Interview and Practice and many more.
I am very passionate about teaching English. This is why my classes are fun, productive and effective for me and my students. I always try to encourage my students to talk during my class so that they may overcome their nervousness and build confidence in their speaking skill.
I try to understand the student’s background and personality which helps me to assist students improve their English.

Hi everyone!
My name is Lorraine. I am a British native speaking who has been living in Spain for the past 5 years. My career before moving to Spain was as an Office Manager for a large Telecoms company. However, when I moved to Spain I was asked to teach English to children in the local Spanish community so took a TEFL course and an additional specialist certificate to teach young learners. Since this time, I have continued to teach English in the local village to children from 4 years through to 18 years old as well as working online teaching students in Europe and Asia.
My method of teaching is to ensure you feel relaxed and not afraid to make a mistake. I teach many levels with the main focus being on conversation, reading and listening exercises. Pronunciation is important for many learners wanting to improve their conversational skills, so if we have a reading exercise, I will ask you to read, then we will go back over the text, to enable you to hear the correct pronunciation, and we will practice this further.
I have prepared presentations such as News of the Week topics, sometimes unusual not the normal headline news. These will include reading an article and one or more of the following: comprehension questions, synonym matches, videos, phrase matches etc.
I also offer general English and Business courses which include reading, conversation and grammar. These go at your own pace and continue from week to week.

Having learned five foreign languages, I understand how to learn and teach languages. As an author, writer, and speaker, I have been teaching ESL for 22 years, including 15 years in Asia. In the U.S., I have taught students and professionals from many countries, including Russia. I have also been a teacher-trainer for ESL teachers for 7 years.

In my lessons I follow the principle that the secret to learning a language is not learning a lot and practicing a little, but learning a little at a time and practicing it a lot! Like learning how to play ping pong, one must not only watch good players, but also pick up the paddle and start to play. Learning a language is more like playing a sport than studying history. As a proverb says, “Tell me, I'll forget. Show me, I may remember. But involve me, and I'll understand.” It doesn’t mean one shouldn’t be diligent in their study; only that YOU have to DO IT to be good at it! Moreover, like being an excellent athlete, the language learner must be motivated, and pay constant attention to improving their skill.
